Located in Vernon, 70 km (43 miles) away from Paris, the Château de Bizy is a lovely stopover before reaching Normandy region on the road to Giverny. From 1740, the Duke of Belle-Isle, Marshal of France and grand-son of Nicolas Fouquet, invested in some works that converted it in a « Norman Versailles », as people liked to nickname it. Until now, the successive owners embellished and fashioned this place marked with French history. Mrs Vergé, current owner spends the spring and summer seasons there, you may meet her during your guided tour.
Come and visit this elegant dwelling with your guide to discover confortable 19th apartments and their fine decoration as well as memories from Napoleon’s era. Then you will take a tour of the 18th century monumental stables, inspired by the ones of Château de Chantilly (18th century too) and eventually a stroll in the relaxing park surrounding the Château.
