After his victory in Austerlitz, Napoleon wanted to embellish Paris with an Arc of Triumph dedicated to the glory of French armies. Inspired by the Arc of Titus in Rome, the one located on Place de l’Etoile was set up at the top of the Champs Elysées avenue with its impressive dimensions. Patriotic hotspot, it is considered by all the French as the place indivisible from the 14 of July’s parade that takes place every year. Follow your private certified guide.
